i am not going to sit here and defend domestic violence because i believe it is a horrible problem in our society today (whether committed by a man or women), however what i can’t do is continue to look at some of these idiotic posts regarding women benefiting from double standards (E.G. Hope Solo and her current DV case)
as i sit here and read numerous posts about Hope Solo and double standards regarding domestic violence I ask myself this, where were all of your MORAL compasses when the incident happened on June 17th (today is Sept 23)? i am seeing far too many individuals discuss how women benefit from double standards, however these people ALSO played into these double standards months ago. if anyone had cared about domestic violence then (and not just when this whole thing with Ray Rice began) they would have raised their voices LONG ago when the incident first took place. but because Hope is a women and supposedly so “benefits” from double standards NO ONE SAID SHIT.
so to you people who have just turned on your moral compasses CONGRATS, however you are little late to this party. if you gave a rats ass about domestic violence (and not just when it surrounds the NFL) you would have raised your voice WAY back when.
if/when Hope Solo becomes suspended it will be because her life became a PR nightmare just like Ray Rice. i do not agree with domestic violence, nor what Solo has “apparently” done. my biggest issue is regarding “double standards”if she does get suspended in the near future then it will be deservingly so.

Writers and pundits have tossed around the claim that star soccer player Hope Solo and her recent legal situation should be compared directly with the recent spate of domestic…
